From the Idea to the Sustainable Cup
"Driving Food Innovation" is our motto, which guides both our grand vision and our day-to-day work. Therefore, our packaging developers are constantly in contact with the packaging industry and the well-known disposal companies in order to provide our products with the best possible packaging.
At the time, our operations manager Marc Neumann was still in purchasing when he took on the task of finding a sustainable cup. We wanted to find a cup that was suitable for contact with food, that was self-decomposing, and that could be individually controlled in the start of degradation to meet the expiration dates and the quality of our products. For Marc, it was - and still is - a project of the heart. But it took a lot of development work before he could hold the finished cup in his hands.
Today, it can be successfully communicated: The RePlus cup is suitable for food, tested for contamination and migration, and its degradability and environmental compatibility have been verified by accredited laboratories.
